Wailuku Wayfinding Signs

Inspiring Fitness and Exploration

55 new wayfinding signs were put up in Wailuku town last Friday.  These signs encourage walking and exploration throughout the town by directing folks in the directions of hidden gems and well-known historic Wailuku treasures along with approximate walk times.

The Wailuku Community Association, Hawaii Public Health Institute and The Maui Redevelopment Agency are responsible for these signs, that will help visitors and residents alike find historical, cultural and art destinations throughout Wailuku town.

These wayfinding signs have been installed in an attempt to get Wailuku recognized as a “Blue Zone” community by the national initiative supporting healthy living.
