The holidays are about connection, celebration, and a little bit of magic and this year, Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is bringing all three to life with a lineup of festive events inspired by Hawaiian culture, local arts, and cherished island traditions.

A Living Work of Art

Kicking off December 2, 2025, guests will be greeted by a breathtaking new holiday installation from Maui floral artist Noah Harders. Known for his sculptural designs that blend natural and contemporary elements, Harders has created a giant wreath crafted from orchids, velvet fabric, and tropical greenery—a stunning symbol of the season’s spirit and the island’s natural beauty.

Sunset Mele on the Pā

From December 21 through January 3, the resort will host “Sunset Mele on the Pā,” a nightly performance series celebrating the sounds and stories of Hawai‘i. Guests can enjoy live hula and slack key guitar in The Queen’s Garden, a serene space honoring Queen Liliʻuokalani, as the sun sets over Wailea Beach.

Mahjong and Mai Tais

For those looking to mix fun with tradition, “Mahjong and Mai Tais” offers a playful twist on the classic tile game. Hosted at KOMO restaurant, guests can learn and play alongside members of the Mahjong Country Club while sipping tropical cocktails. Sessions run from December 21–24, 26–30, and January 1–2.

Holiday Highlights and Wellness Experiences

The resort’s festive calendar is packed with special moments, including:

• Nightly Hanukkah services (Dec. 14–21)
• Santa’s arrival by outrigger canoe on Christmas Eve
• The Wailea Challenge – a three-day tournament featuring canoe races and beachside activities
• A Tropical Pickleball Mixer (Dec. 27 and Jan. 3)

Guests can also unwind through wellness experiences that embrace the healing energy of Maui: beach yoga sessions, oceanside massages in traditional hale (thatched structures), vitamin IV therapy in partnership with Next|Health, and floating sound baths at the Adult Pool (Dec. 22, 29, and Jan. 5).

Ringing in the New Year, Maui Style

The celebration continues into New Year’s Eve, when the resort’s renowned restaurants DUO Steak and Seafood, Ferraro’s, and Spago Maui serve up special menus before the Electric Aloha New Year’s Eve Party lights up the Oceanfront Lawn at 10 p.m. Guests can dance the night away with live music by Halfmoons and enjoy fireworks over Wailea Beach at midnight.
