Market Update

It has been said that it takes courage to buy at the bottom of the market.  This makes obvious sense because it is usually when things look the worst that many people throw the towel in and give up.

At such a time, savvy buyers swoop in and pick up some incredible deals.  We are seeing this happening in the hardest hit areas of California, Nevada, and Arizona where sales have increased dramatically in recent months.

Here on Maui, we have also seen an improvement in the number of new escrows over the last several months. 

Interest rates which are still at historically low levels coupled with prices that are in many cases 30% or more below levels of a few years ago are creating wonderful opportunities for astute investors.

Remember in the mid to late 80's, Japanese investors bought up real estate like it was going out of style.  Are the Chinese with their massive amounts of U.S. Dollars going to be the next wave of foreign buyers?  There is an indication that is already starting to happen.
