Market Update
According to a report from Core Logic, Hawaii ranked #5 in the country for home price appreciation in March when distressed sales were factored out.
The rate was 14.3% and even counting distressed sales, the rate was still 13.4%.
What is most significant is that this is the first time since 2006 that the year over year appreciation was over 10% for both categories, i.e. with or without distressed sales included.

P.S. - The reason why our featured property says rare vacation rental property is that this is one of those very few exceptions where the zoning allows for short term rentals. 99.9% of all residential properties do not allow short term rentals unless you go through a rather tedious permitting process with no guaranties of success. We suspect that this 4 unit home located adjacent to world famous Mama's Fish House will sell rather quickly.
