 Market Update

Typically the real estate market slows down after April 1st as the snowbirds and whales both depart Maui.  
 
This doesn't seem to be the case this year, as Coldwell Banker opened 45 new Escrows during the first half of April.  
 
You might think that the strength of the market had to do with the Homebuyer Tax Credit that is expiring on April 30th, but from what we see, this has had only a minor impact on sales.
 
We are seeing strong interest from Canadian buyers as their dollar is now at parity with the U.S. dollar.
