Market Update

As we enter the high season we are seeing a growth period in the Maui real estate market. Residential and condo unit sales numbers rose in October to 105 units each.  Year to date residential unit sales have risen 15%, showing lots of activity. 

Canadians who have been large investors in Maui real estate are now motivated to sell rather than buy as the exchange rate declines.  Investors are buying with cash for a quick close, 36.6% of all sales this year have been cash. 

The inventory of REO's and Short sales are dwindling as they are being sold off.  For buyers, low interest rates still prevail but they are surely inching upward so the time to act is now.
