While we manage the immediate cleanup, many are asking why these particular weather events are so unforgiving to our coastline. We recently published a deep dive into the environmental history of our area, titled "The Lost Sponge Why Kona Storms Are So Destructive to South Maui," which explains how the transformation of the Kīhei landscape has impacted our natural flood defenses.
Whether you are dealing with a damaged roof, a flooded vehicle, or spoiled personal property, taking swift action is the best way to ensure your coverage is applied correctly. Below, we’ve summarized the essential steps you need to take to protect your assets and streamline the claims process.
