Market Update

Housing analysts from the National Association of Home Builders predict 2016 will be a stand-out year, a year of great economic improvement. They predict a good year for the housing market due to employment growth and continued economic recovery. 

Consumer confidence continues to rise to pre-recession levels.  Millennials as first time home buyers are anticipated to be a major portion of this upswing.  We are seeing more and more household formations as job growth continues and mortgage rates remain low.

Traditionally first time home buyers average 40% of market.  Due to the recession for the past 5-7 years they’ve only been comprising 30% of the housing market.  Economists predict by the end of 2016 single family housing starts will rise by 39% to 977,000 units, back to pre-recession levels.
