Market Update

Maui Friday Town Parties happen every week! 5 Fridays, 5 Towns, 5 Parties is the slogan for the community events spearheaded by the Maui County Office of Economic Development.  Each town hosts a unique party highlighting the towns atmosphere and featuring local food vendors, artists and musical guests.  

First Fridays are held in Wailuku taking place from 6 PM - 9 PM on historic Market street.  You can find live music and entertainment at the Banyan Tree park and in the Iao theater.  Food and craft booths will line the street.  

Second Fridays are held in Lahaina on Front Street.  Most of the art galleries open their doors and offer live art, refreshments and wine.  Willie K can often be found at Kimos restaurant for a special performance.  Lots of the Front street shops and restaurants will offer discounts and promotions during the second Friday celebration.  

Third Friday takes place in Makawao, Baldwin Avenue is shut down to traffic and the streets are lined with food vendors, live music and often cowboy dancing!  

Fourth Fridays are in Kihei at the Azeka Shopping Center Mauka.  Free music performances take place on the main stage from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.  The Kihei celebration also features 25 food trucks, a Keiki zone and over 50 arts and crafts vendors. 

In the rare months with 5 Fridays the Fifth Friday Celebration takes place on Lanai.  The event is held at Dole Park in Lanai City from 5:30PM - 8:00PM.  A Fifth Friday Lanai Package is available, with discounts on travel from Maui.             

The town parties are a great way to bring the community together for family friendly fun!

P.S. - Maui made film, 'Kuleana' is set for statewide theatrical release.  This is the first Hawaii film to be released in theaters statewide since 2010's 'Princess Kaiulani.'  The film's director, Brian Kohne and crew hope this accomplishment will help to boost Hawaii regional cinema.
