Market Update

The first Bowling Alley to open on Maui in 50 years will open its doors on Thursday in the Lahaina Outlet Mall where Hard Rock Cafe was previously located.  Island Bowling will have 3 adult lanes and 1 Keiki lane for children 5 to 12 years old. 

This is not your average bowling alley, there are no automatic pinsetters.  Bowling attendants will reset the pins after each throw, a true vintage vibe.  Players will not be required to wear bowling shoes as the lanes are portable.  

Admission to Island Bowling will be $5 while children under 4 years old are free.  Each adult 10 frame game is $10 and $5 for children 5- 11 years old.  Party packages are also available starting at $500.  The new family fun bowling center will be open from noon - 9 PM daily and to 10 PM on Friday and Saturday.  

It is highly encouraged that you call ahead to make reservations as they are already booked up through opening weekend.  Island Bowling has their lease at the Outlets through June, they're keeping their eyes open for a larger, more permanent space. 

The only other bowling alley open on Maui is the 70 year old Maui Bowling Center in Wailuku which is only open to the public from 9 am - noon as the leagues use it in the afternoons.

P.S. - 529 whales were sighted off Maui shores last week during the Great Whale Count.  Over 100 volunteers worked with the Pacific Whale Foundation to record the whale sightings.
