Customer Listing Synopsis

Market Update

The Hawaii Tourism Authority, after publishing the Hawaii Vacation Rental Performance Report determined that Maui had the largest vacation rental supply in the entire state. Through the month of January the amount of time these vacation rentals were booked was a staggering 227,200 unit nights. For comparison, it is estimated there are only 265,400 unit nights available at any one time across the island.

It should be noted that these numbers are excluding hotels and more traditional accommodations. The statistics published by the Hawaii Tourism Authority are meant to give a snapshot of how many visitors we have each month compared against the number of rentals available to house them. In January, Maui hotels were operating at an average of 77.2% occupancy. Independent vacation rentals, however, were operating at 85.6% percent occupancy.
