Market Update

Yesterday it seemed like all eyes were on the stock market.  In response to Friday's downgrade of US government debt and then yesterday's downgrade of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (both largely dependent on government debt), all three major stock indexes fell between 5% and 7%. Today the three stock indexes recovered most of the losses from the previous day; however, it is obvious there is still a significant amount of fear and uncertainty plaguing the markets.

So what effect will these downgrades ultimately have on Hawaii's housing market? Uncertainty in the markets means different things for different people.  Some see opportunity.  Some see impending disaster.  While some stand by and pay no attention at all. 

We believe the shifting marketplace will only continue to create jaw dropping opportunities to buy Maui Real Estate at significant discounts.  Five to seven years from now we'll look back and say, "Wow. What a bargain that was!"
