Market Update

A farmer's market is a place you can find fresh, local produce and specialty foods.  There are many excellent farmers market's on Maui.  Check out the island-wide schedule, where you can find a market almost daily. 

The Upcountry farmers market is known for it's diversity, featuring everything from pressed in front of you sugarcane juice to vegan miso soup.  My favorite delicacy is the mochicko chicken cone from Maui Cones. 

In Central Maui, from Kumu Farms at Maui Tropical Plantation you can expect certified organic, same-day harvested fruits and vegetables. Sun-ripened strawberries and non-GMO papayas are popular items.  The farms 25 acres yields about 30 different crops. 

If you're in Hana, the Hana Fresh Farm stand is open Monday - Saturday.  The farm stand sells certified organic tomatoes, cucumbers, tropical fruits and herbs.  Located next door is a cafe that serves breakfast and lunch highlighting the farms fresh ingredients.  The island favorite, all-natural shave ice is not to be missed.
