Market Update

As we have reported recently, the real estate market has cooled off a bit lately.  There is more inventory and somewhat fewer buyers. 
 
In fact, in some condo complexes, prices have dropped 10% over the last 6 months.  Of course, what do you expect?  Prices had gone up by as much as 150% over the previous 2 to 3 years, so some retrenchment was inevitable.  Prices don’t go up forever in a straight line.
 
I have heard some Buyers say that prices are going down and they are going to wait.  Honestly, I don’t think that is a good idea.  Now is the best time to act, when there are fewer buyers and sellers have become more motivated.
 
Why wait until the market starts going back up again, and you are competing with more Buyers.  Prices are still excellent and interest rates, in my opinion, are as low as they are going to get.
