Market Update

Last week's tsunami has been a sobering reminder of just how precious life really is.  Our prayers go out to the people in Japan who have been effected the most by this event.

On Friday, March 11th portions of South Kihei Road and the Pali Highway (connects Ma'alaea to Lahaina) were closed.  Thankfully, the effects of the tsunami on Maui and throughout Hawaii were minimal.

Someone asked whether we thought this event would deter people from buying real estate on Maui.  Our answer is "time will tell."  Several days before the tsunami hit, Barron's published their "15 Best Places for a Second Home."  Maui took the #2 spot behind Sea Island, Georgia.

In light of Barron's article, this week we've featured a handful of Makena and Wailea properties.  We're happy to say that Maui's Makena/Wailea coastline is just as pristine and magical as before the tsunami.
