It's almost here!  Halloween on Front Street in Lahaina is known as the, "Mardi Gras of the Pacific."  It's the biggest celebration of the year, Front Street is closed off to all traffic allowing people to walk the streets showing off their imaginative costumes. 

The festivities begin in the afternoon with a keiki parade and most of the shops and restaurants will pass out candy to trick or treaters.  Then later in the evening the costume contest takes places at the banyan tree.  Most restaurants and bars will be offering drink specials, live music and costume contests of their own. 

If you want to take part in Maui's most famously celebrated holiday book your reservations now as hotels rooms in Lahaina fill up quickly.  If you are staying in South Maui and want to avoid driving, traffic and parking there is a boat ride from Maalaea Harbor to Lahaina harbor offered only on Halloween night.
