Market Update

Hawaii Energy is offering creative ways to save and make your home more energy efficient.  If it's time for a new A/C, you can receive up to a $250 rebate if you get the energy saving mini split air conditioner which can cool multiple rooms.  You are also eligible for a $75 rebate when you schedule an A/C tune up with one of these participating contractors.  Keeping you air conditioning system running in tip-top shape is an easy way to save on energy. 

Solar hot water heaters can save you up to 40% on your electric bills a year and you'll also receive state and federal tax credits.  If you already have a solar water heater, Hawaii Energy is offering $100 instant savings when you schedule a tune up with one of these participating contractors.  It is recommended that solar water heaters be serviced every 3-5 years.    

Old refrigerators can be real energy guzzlers, but you can get a $150 rebate when you trade in your old fridge for a qualifying Energy Star model.  If you have working refrigerators or freezers that your not using you can get up to $65 for each one with the Rid-A-Fridge program.
