Market Update

In local news, Habitat for Humanity Maui is building a new 16-unit condominium complex in Happy Valley.  Groundbreaking for the three-story structure will start on Thursday, August 16th at 9 a.m..  See article.  This is the first multifamily condo complex project that Habitat for Humanity Maui has created.  It will cost $3.5 million to build with $3 million coming from County and Federal funding.  Since the Habitat for Humanity has a zero interest rate, new owners will have a mortgage between $800 to $1,000 a month.

I remember helping Habitat for Humanity Maui 7 years ago build a single family home for a single mother and her 2 kids in Kula.  She was so grateful and pleased to receive help from our local Realtors®.  It always feels great to give back to the community.
