Nearly 300 business owners from Maui responded to the Maui Business Health Check Survey and half of them said that they need help and need it now.  About 100 of the business owners that responded were from Lahaina.  According to Hawaii News Now, 43.8 % of the businesses said that their financial health was "critical, on life support," with only 3.1 % reported they were "doing great, feeling well."  This survey was created by the Maui County Office of Economic Development.

Some businesses that lost everything from the Lahaina fires moved to Maika'i Market located in Kahului, which just opened earlier this month.   Dee's Poi Mochi from Lahaina is one of the food trucks that you will find at this new marketplace.  Her poi mochi is so delicious.
