Market Update

Wailea is home to the biggest resorts and some of the best food on the island. Since the flow of tourism came to an abrupt halt in April after the statewide COVID-19 shutdown, resorts and restaurants alike have been using this time to renovate in preparation for tourists returning to Wailea. Below are the most popular resorts and restaurants in Wailea that have either already opened, or are planning to reopen this month.

Andaz Maui Wailea Resort – OPENING November 1st
• Ka’ana Kitchen- Breakfast / Dinner resumes Nov 15th 
• Lehua Lounge – Lunch/Dinner 
• Morimoto Maui – All Day Dining Noon – 8pm resumes Nov 5th 
• Mokapu Market – To Go food service – 5am- 10pm 
• Feast at Mokapu Luau available on Sundays at 5:30pm beginning Nov 22nd

Fairmont Kea Lani – OPENING November 1st

• KO – Open for their guests and a local sneak peak 11/5-7 o Open DAILY starting 11/12 
• Nick’s Fishmarket Maui – Opening 11/1 Cocktails/Dinner/Happy Hour

Four Seasons Maui Wailea Resort – OPENING November 20th

• SPAGO – OPENING November 20th
Grand Wailea – OPENING November 15th – Hotel 
• Cafe Kula - Grab & Go Offerings/Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner Knock and Drop In-Room Dining Available for guests 
• Bistro Molokini – Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

• As of the initial re-open of the resort, the Grand Wailea luau, room service, Volcano Bar, Grotto Bar, Grand Dining Room, and Humuhumunukunukuapu’a will not be open. At this time, there is no definite planned date of re-opening for these outlets, however, activation as guidelines allow.

Hotel Wailea – OPEN October 15th

• The Restaurant at Hotel Wailea – OPEN Cocktails/Dinner

Residence Inn Maui Wailea – OPEN

Wailea Beach Resort – OPENING November 1st

• Humble Market Kitchin – Daily Breakfast/Dinner (self-parking complimentary) 
• Kapa Bar & Restaurant 10am – 5pm 
• Starbucks – 6am-11am

It should be noted that according to the guidelines put in place by the Hawaii Pre-travel testing program you can stay in any of the above mentioned resorts without the need to quarantine, but you will need to wear a mask when you leave your room, visit common areas, or go to restaurants.

P.S. Being able to obtain a facemask is much easier now than it was in the beginning of the pandemic when they were in such short supply many people had to resort to making masks out of household materials. Recently Maui County banned neck gaiters, which were deemed ineffective against COVID-19, but remained a widely popular face covering for many people. With citations being issued for improper face coverings it’s important to understand what is acceptable.
