Market Update

Maui condominium sales prices spiked to a decade high last month as inventory reaches an all-time low. The median sales price for a Maui condo hit $552K last month, reported by the Realtor's Association of Maui.  This is a 7.2% increase from June 2018's median sales price of $515K.  

For condos inventory decreased by 21% to 476 condos for sale at the end June compared to the same time the previous year.  In contrast, the number of condos for sale reached a 10-year high back in April, 2009 when there were 1,796 units for sale.  

The June housing statistics report says that the economy still is performing well and cites low unemployment and solid retail sales.  However, it cautions of slowing times to come.
