Market Update

If you are in distress and want to avoid foreclosure or if you know of someone that needs help, we just received an email today from Bank of America with regards to a short sale relocation assistance program. 

For a limited time only, our clients may receive $2,500 to $30,000 in relocation assistance for qualified homeowners who initiate a short sale without an offer.  Homeowners must participate in one of the preapproved price short sale programs like HAFA (Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternatives program) or Bank of America's proprietary program. 

To learn more about HAFA, visit http://www.makinghomeaffordable.gov/programs/exit-gracefully/pages/hafa.aspx.  HAFA short sales completely release you from your mortgage debt after you sell your property and the servicer will waive a deficiency. 

It also has a less negative affect on your credit than doing a conventional short sale or foreclosure.  There are eligibility requirements and the mortgages have to be owned or guaranteed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac.

Feel free to call or email us if you are interested and we will initiate your short sale to see if you qualify for this enhanced relocation assistance program.  By the way, relocation assistance funds may be used to pay off existing liens.
