Market Update

As Greek Banks closed yesterday the U.S. and the rest of the world is left wondering how they will be affected?  In the short term the U.S. has little direct exposure to Greece since the Greek economy accounts for less than 1% of U.S. trade (mostly vegetables).

If the Greek crisis continues we may see a "flight to safety" in U.S. Treasury bonds and possibly U.S. real estate.  Greece may be forced to leave the European Union and drop the euro, which would send investors across Europe into a frenzy.  

In the long term this crisis may generate a fear of the stock market and people will turn to real estate for their investments.
