Market Update

As with anything it is important to shop around for a mortgage and not just go with the first quote you receive from a lender.  Lenders may have different loan products that will benefit you situation.  Approximately 1/3 of home buyers fail to shop around and are stuck with the first quote they get.  

The mortgage transaction is a large yet infrequent financial decision.  First time home buyers are likely to take lender referrals from real estate agents or mortgage specialists.  Research found that higher-income, younger-aged and minority borrowers are the most likely to shop around for a mortgage. 


Whoever you take a referral from in regards to a lender it is important to shop around, know your options and negotiate the best terms considering all possible unexpected changes.
