Market Update

The Maui real estate statistics for May are in and the median sales price for a single family home has risen 11% over last year to $687,500.  The volume of home sales has dropped 2% to 426 sales in response to the price increase.

The median sales price of a condo is up 12% to $479,000 over last year.  Volume of sales is also up 10% to 589 total sales.  Last month the median sales price of a condo in Wailea was $1.05M, an 8% increase over this same time last year.  The median sales price of a condo in Kihei last month was $392,000 - 17% higher than last year. 

The median sales price of vacant land is down 15% from 2016 to $395,000 compared to $464,500 last year.  Though volume of sales are up by 1 sale the total dollar volume spent on land is down 12% to $34,572,700.  Most land sales are taking place in West Maui with a total dollar volume of $9,031,500 in sales.
