Market Update

There is no question that living in Hawaii is expensive and requires residents to work much harder to support their families than their counterparts on the Mainland. In a recent 2018 study released by the National Low-Income Housing Coalition, it was said that to afford a 2-bedroom rental at fair market value in the County of Maui you would have to be making upwards of $31.13 per hour. That number was second only to Oahu where the hourly wage would need to be closer to $39.06 per hour to afford the same rental in Honolulu.
