Market Update

2015 Statistics show that nationally sales increased 7.7% above 2014 stats.  This increase is consistent with Maui's sales numbers where total dollar volume increased in residential (13%), condominium (1%) and vacant land (15%) sales. 

47% of Maui sales were condos, compared to 42% single family homes and 6% vacant land.  Condo sales were split up almost evenly between South and West Maui, with 48% of sales in South Maui followed by 45% in West Maui. 

Some growth is anticipated for 2016 but it will be difficult to replicate last year's 7% increase due to falling inventories and rising mortgage rates.  By the end of December the total national housing inventory was at a 3.9 month supply, 3.8% lower than 2014's supply.
