| This week produced a mix bag of economic news. On the good side, interest rates dropped somewhat; however, some of this drop may be because of a decline in new home starts which is taking some pressure off the Fed to further increase interest rates. On the positive side, existing homes sales rebounded after dropping for the previous 5 months. This may have been partly due to unseasonably warm weather in January and February.Did you know that you could invest your IRA money in real estate? "Self-directed" IRAs were created to allow individuals to select, either directly or with the advice of an investment advisor, investments they prefer for their IRA account.
