Market Update

Although Maui is the primary focus of our Newsletter, occasionally when we see an extraordinary property either on other Islands or anywhere's else in the world, we want to call your attention to it. This week we are featuring a magnificent Lakefront estate in Ontario, Canada. Here are the statistics according to the MLS for the last 7 days.

New Listings = 164 (76 Condos, 66 Homes, 15 Vacant Land, 1 Business, 3 Commercial, and 3 Time Interval)

Contingent Sales = 27 (12 Condos, 12 Homes, and 3 Vacant Land)

Pending Sales = 53 (26 Condos, 21 Homes, 3 Vacant Land, 2 Commercial, 1 Time Interval)

Closed Sales = 69 (36 Condos, 30 Homes, 1 Vacant Land, 1 Commercial, and 1 Time Interval)

The highest priced home going into escrow this week was an oceanfront home in Spreckelsville for $4.75M (Back up offers being taken). The highest priced condo opening escrow this week was Makena Surf #B-206 for $2.995M. The two highest sales this week were 2 condos at Polo Beach Club and Makena Surf for $1.55M and $2.125M respectively.

Of the properties that went into escrow this week 13 of them were over $1 Million. We point these statistics out to let you know that although things may have slowed off of their torrid pace of the last 12 months, the market is still very buoyant with lots of activity in all segments of the market.
