Market Update

The real estate market on Maui continues to be very strong. One evidence of this was seen Friday evening as several hundred people lined up and camped out over night to put in reservations for 114 new homes to be built in Wailuku. Maui is not alone in having a booming real estate market. Chief economist for the National Association of Realtors, David Lereah, was recently quoted as saying, "Home sales will top the 7 million mark this year, as both the resale and new-house markets reach a new plane that signals increased activity for years to come."
