| Although prices in the resale end of the real estate market have gone up substantially in recent years, the biggest increases have come on new projects in the low to middle end of the market. The reason is that the demand for new homes and condos has greatly exceeded the supply and continues to do so. Given this imbalance, it is not always possible to buy into a new project.
