| Not much change to report this week. Rates did drop down somewhat from their recent highs and are still at phenomenally low levels historically speaking. Be careful not to fall in to the trap of trying to guess which way the interest rates might be headed. When refinancing or purchasing, you should lock at the earliest possible time. If rates drop substantially from when you locked, some lenders will allow you to float the rate down. If they won't and the difference is substantial, you may be able to cancel and start all over again locking in at a new lower rate. |
