What's Up?

That is an easy question to answer if you are talking about Maui Real Estate. Almost everything is up and it appears as if it may be going higher, at least in the short term. Inventories in many categories (especially the low end) are at record low levels and in some cases, they are non-existent.

Strong demand from folks trading up, first time home buyers, and investors means that many new property listings are sold within hours or days at the most. Of course, there are others where the sellers may be overly optimistic, and they will sit until either the sellers reduce their price or the market catches up to them.

We believe that this trend will slow down when we get more inventory coming to market. There are a number of new projects that are nearing completion of their permit process, so hopefully in the not too distant future prices will stabilize and we will return to a more normal market. In the meantime, be prepared to act quickly and decisively when you find the right property for you.
