You can have multiple sets of criteria for vacant land, condos, homes, etc. High season is now officially over (ends April 15th), and from what we have heard bookings for vacation rentals are down slightly from year ago levels. Hopefully as the Middle East situation improves, fears over terrorism subside, concerns about SARS abate, and the economy starts recovering, we will see tourism return to more normal levels. In the meantime, low interest rates, high demand, and small inventory are still keeping upward pressure on prices on the low to middle range condos and homes. An example of this can be seen in the fact that we just listed a Southpointe condo with 2 bedrooms 1.5 baths for $155,000 (FS) on Friday, and by the end of the day Saturday it was sold at a record price...previous high sale had been $145,000. We are open to accepting back-up offers until the buyer has final written loan approval. |
